Demi Moore Opens Up About Her Traumatic Miscarriage Says She Blamed Herself!

During a new interview, Demi Moore got candid about a horrible experience in her life and how it affected her. The actress revealed that she blamed herself when she suffered a miscarriage with Ashton Kutcher at the age of 42.

She mentioned that she was six months along already when it happened and explained how she kept it a secret from the public.

It was really difficult to keep the pregnancy under wraps since the paparazzi would follow her everywhere to get anything about her marriage with her 15 years younger husband, Ashton Kutcher.

They would always try to document everything so privacy was a luxury for the Demi.

Regardless, while chatting with Harper’s Bazaar, she dished on the one thing she managed to keep hidden – a traumatic miscarriage she went through not too long after she and Ashton started going out.

‘As a woman, mother, and a wife, there are certain values and vows I hold sacred, and it’s in this spirit that I’ve chosen to move forward with my life,’ she stated.

She’d been sober since her 20s but the tragic loss caused Demi to start drinking again.

In time, it got worse and she began abusing Vicodin as well, her health really deteriorating.

Finally, as she neared her 50s, she fortunately managed to achieve sobriety once again.

‘In retrospect, what I realized is that when I opened the door [again], it was just giving my power away. I guess I would think of it like this: It was really important to me to have natural childbirth because I didn’t want to miss a moment. And with that I experienced pain. So part of being sober is, I don’t want to miss a moment of life, of that texture, even if that means being in some pain,’ she went on to tell the magazine.
