Lake Kingdom Purple Coins - Super Mario Odyssey Guide

The Lake Kingdom has a total of 50 regional purple coins. Find out all their locations with this Lake Kingdom Purple Coins guide.

The coins have been assigned numbers for tracking purposes, but they can be collected in any order.

Lake Kingdom Coins 1-3

Once the Odyssey lands, walk behind it and you’ll see three purple coins along the back wall of the area.

Lake Kingdom Coins 4-6

The next three are in the wall of the first area. Swim to the submerged zipper to the left of the building on the back wall, capture it, and unzip the wall.

You’ll find three purple coins on the platform.

Lake Kingdom Coins 7-9

Three more coins are hidden by a submerged zipper in this area. Swim to where the Lochlady dressed in red is swimming in circles, just to the right of the center of the area, and you should see a zipper on the lake floor.

Capture and open the zipper to reveal three more purple coins.

Lake Kingdom Coins 10-12

On the far right wall in the first area is a high ledge with another mysterious silver box.

Jump on the flower to Skydance Mario up to the ledge, then you should see three easily removable pillars blocking the next three purple coins.

Lake Kingdom Coins 13-16

After descending the first water tunnel that leads to the Water Plaza, turn around away from the path (and watch for spikes) to see four purple coins.

Lake Kingdom Coins 17-19

The next three are in the lake to the left of the giant underwater bubble, or the Water Plaza.

Swim to them fast, tear down the poles, then grab the three coins in the wall.

Lake Kingdom Coins 20-22

You’ll see these three coins on the Water Plaza Display Window level. Walk to the edge of the balcony and you’ll find the three coins. Shimmy along the engraved ridge to collect them.

Lake Kingdom Coins 23-25

When you emerge from the waterway that leads to the Water Plaza’s roof, hit the blue P button. The pillar wall lowers three purple coins that you can now collect.

Lake Kingdom Coins 26-28

Below the Water Plaza’s roof are three purple coins. They’re on the backside of the roof by the tube that connects the Water Plaza to its roof.

Lake Kingdom Coins 29-32

The platform next to the Water Plaza roof is has a zipper on its wall. Toss Cappy up and unzip the wall to reveal four more purple coins.

Lake Kingdom Coins 33-36

Use the flowers along the wall near the Water Plaza roof to get Mario to the platform with these four coins.

Lake Kingdom Coins 37-39

These three coins are underwater, but they’re far easier to get if you come from the surface. You’ll find them resting on an elevated rock between the wall and the battle platform.

Lake Kingdom Coins 40-43

In the courtyard with the fishing pond, four purple coins are on an elevated platform. Capture Goomba, then keep stacking all the Goomba in the area to get high enough to jump to the platform. Capturing the tall stack first makes this a bit easier.

Lake Kingdom Coins 44-46

Near the roof of the Water Plaza is this Cappy Door. Enter, then just after you pass the first few enemies, shimmy to the left around the building.

You’ll find three purple coins on this side.

Lake Kingdom Coins 47-50

Enter the green pipe near the roof of the Water Plaza. Hop on the platform, then ride it to the other end of the 8-bit area.

Once you fall off, keep walking left into a secret side of the area. You’ll find the final four purple coins here.
