Montana Tucker is an American singer, songwriter, actress, and dancer.

She was raised Jewish, and had a coming-of-age ceremony by the Western Wall in Israel. Her maternal grandparents are Holocaust survivors, and she has been involved in Holocaust education, including traveling to Auschwitz in 2022.

Montana’s paternal grandfather was Jerrold Sheldon Tucker (the son of Irving Tucker and Mary Arkind). Jerrold was born in New York. Irving was born in New York, the son of William Tucker and Ida Borokofsky. Mary was born in New York, the daughter of Itska/Itzke “Isidore” Arkind, who was from Beshankovichy, Belarus, and of Rivka “Sophie” Kote, who was from Russia.

Montana’s maternal grandfather was named Michael L. Schmidmayer. Michael was born in Dumitrița, Romania.

Montana’s maternal grandmother is named Lilly Steg. Lilly was born in Uzhhorod, Czechoslovakia, now Ukraine. She survived the Auschwitz concentration camp as a child.
